ReplyDeletenice sketches. i really like 4th and 15th. there is really no research on a city but since everyone knows SF there is no need for one i guess.
I believe that #4, #11 and #20 work the best. #4 i like the lines usage # 11 i like the bridge because it represent SF well, and #20 also represents SF well because its the tower downtown and i like the rays that come out of it.
ReplyDeleteImpressive amount of thumbnails. That said, I wish you would've explained the concepts behind some of them, as a few are a little too abstract for my simple brain to comprehend (#2 and #3, for instance). 2, 3 and 4, I really like, how they look at least, I'm just not entirely sure what they're meant to represent (though perhaps this would only be a problem in the thumbnail stage).

2, 4, 15 and 20 are my favorites. 15 has a interesting perspective. 4 and 20 have good energy, which is good for the olympics. good job Bran!
ReplyDeleteClean ideas Brandon. San Fran is a very lively city, and every thumbnail reflects it. My only comment: I think it has to san San Francisco and not just San Fran... right?

Wow, everybody seems to like 4 and 20 a lot, but I'm skeptical of their reasoning, switch the design and I'd bet they'd pick the same two numbers. Anyway, I like #2, its like an old 90's logo make teal and orange or teal and purple and your set. Other thank that I think the best of the Golden Gate bridge ideas is #18, although its not very gestalt, it's to the point in a clean, readable way.
ReplyDeleteI like numbers 5 and 15. Number 5 has a great architectural n abstract look. Number 15 is cool cuz it's 3d but i think you can play with placements to make it better, keeping the 3d
ReplyDeletethanks for the input guys/ladies :D
ReplyDelete@ Corey - I was just thinking of what color scheme to go with & that just got me going. Thanks a lot buddy
ReplyDeleteI liked #4, 14, and 17. I like 4 because it is really festive and shows a lot of movement, 14 because it portrays old culture, and I thought 17 was really simple, but a cool idea.
ReplyDeleteI like #4 because its different and seems to have personality. however I do like the bridge idea but it may be to literal. the 'bridge people' seem to embody that though so maybe just work on doing some variants of that one. :D
